Director
Ahmedabad University invites application for the post of director for the proposed Institute of Information Communication and Technology.Personal ProfileWe are seeking a candidate ( age-45 to 55 yrs) having either strong academic or industrial background in the area of engineering/ ICT/computer science.
Academia: Candidates should have a minimum of 10 yrs teaching experience along with academic administration experience of 3-5 years from educational institutes of national and international repute. Industry: Candidates should have held high level positions (VP and above) for about 10 yrs in research based industry with strong academic tie ups.
Qualities we are looking for Established research scientist in the relevant area, academic leadership, academic sensitivity, team builder and networking capacity with industries and institutes.
Responsibility
The candidate should be visionary, dynamic, teambuilder and be capable of shaping and leading the proposed institute to an industrial research based education center of international standard and repute.

Candidates, from any branch of ICT or related cross disciplinary fields such as physics, mathematics, computer science, electronics and communication engineering, distributed computing, financial computing, software engineering, bio-informatics, social sciences and humanities may apply. For all positions, a PhD in related field, significant demonstrated research record commensurate with the level of the position being applied for are required. Being a State University (privately funded) we offer more attractive remuneration package as compared to other institutions in the country. Faculty will be encouraged and supported to establish research labs and get involved in institution building, innovate, teach, consult and conduct collaborative research.

Professional Assistant for the Library
Ahmedabad University invites application for faculty Professional Assistant for the Library for Institute of Information Communication and Technology. RequirementApplications are invited for the position of a Professional Assistant for the library at the Institute of ICT. The candidate will assist in building up and managing library resources (books, journals, audio-visual materials, online journals and other content).
- Minimum qualification: B.LISC./M.LISC. from a recognized university
- Good communication skills, Good spoken and written English
- Experience: Preferred one year. Freshers may also apply.
- Terms of employment: Contractual for two years
- Salary: Competitive and commensurate with relevant experience
