The Indira Gandhi Medical College is an autonomous institution of the
Government of Puducherry. Eligible candidates who are Indian Nationals can
attend walk in interview along with filled in Applications for the posts
detailed below and fulfilling the MCI regulations of minimum qualification for
teachers in Medical Institutions, Regulations 1998.

4. Designation : Senior Resident (Tenure - 3 Years)
Consolidated pay of `40,000 per month
5. Designation : Tutor / Demonstrator /Junior Resident (Tenure - 1

Eligible candidates can attend the walk in interview from 02.04.2012 to
12.04.2012 on all working days (except Saturday and Sunday) from 10.00
a.m. to 4.00 p.m. along with duly filled in application, separately for each
post at the office of the Director, Indira Gandhi Medical College &
Research Institute, Vazhudavur Road, Kathirkamam, Puducherry – 605 009
along with a D.D. for Rs.250 (Rs.100 for SC /ST) drawn in favour of
“Puducherry Medical College Society” payable at Puducherry and other
documents as specified in the application format.
AGE RELAXATION:
- Upper age limit upto 5 years is relaxable for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes and 3 years in case of OBC candidates subject to maximum age of 64 years.
GENERAL CONDITIONS:
- Recruitment will be for the existing and anticipated vacancies in the concerned departments.
- Retirement age is 65 years.
- Selected candidates will have to join immediately.
- Medical graduates will be paid NPA.
- Institute is having the right either to fill up the post or not.
- Only one application has to be submitted for Tutor / Demonstrator / Junior Resident post.
- The institute may also with the approval if Competent Authority choose to appoint such suitable person(s) who may not have applied in response to this advertisement.
- Eligible candidate as per MCI norms can be considered for Contract Appointment also.
- Fees once paid is not refundable.
- No TA / DA will be admissible for attending the interview.
- Candidates will be considered for appointment only if they have not presented themselves for the MCI inspection for the academic year 2012 – 2013 i.e. from 01.08.2011.
- Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
- The Institute also reserves the right of rejecting any or all the application without assigning any reason therefor.
- The prescribed qualifications are minimum and the mere fact that a candidate possesses the same will not entitle him / her for attending the interview.
- No correspondence will be entertained regarding outcome of interview.
- All disputes will be under the legal jurisdiction of Puducherry.
